Alfred Jackson Billes

Alfred Jackson Billes, CM (December 1, 1902 - April 3, 1995) was a Canadian businessman and co-founder of Canadian Tire.. Biography. Born in Toronto, Ontario, at age sixteen, he went to work as a clerk at a branch of the Dominion Bank.In 1922, he used his savings to team up with his brother William to buy Hamilton Tire and Garage Ltd. in Toronto.

Passed away suddenly in her 94th year on Wednesday, March 21st, 2007 at Scarborough Grace Hospital, Toronto. Beloved Mother of Barbara (Fred), Donald (Mary), Ralph (Margriet) and Lenore (Rick). Cherished Nana to 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husbands Robert George Kitchen and Alfred Jackson Billes. Marjorie was a faithful servant of God who will be sadly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
