Alfred P. King, aged 90 years and six months, died at his home on Kline street of old age yesterday afternoon. Services will be held Wednesday evening and interment will follow in the Confluence cemetery, where the body will be taken Thursday morning.

ALFRED P. KING.

Funeral services for Alfred P. King, who died suddenly Monday afternoon at his home in Kline street, Scottdale, were held Wednesday afternoon at the home of a son, W. A. King, at Scottdale, with Rev. T. H, Hughes, pastor of the Christian church, officiating. Burial was made this morning in the Jersey church cemetery, near Ursina.

Mr. King was six months and 16 days past his 90th year. He was born near Ursina August 22, 1828, a son of Jacob and Eva King. The greater part of his life was spent in Somerset county. For a short time he lived in Iowa. About 18 years ago he moved to Dickerson Run and 9 years later to Scottdale where he hadf since resided. By occupation he was a shoemaker. He married Miss Catherine Nicola of Somerset county who died five years ago at the age of 85 years. All of their six children survive: They are Mrs. W. J. Shaw, near Clarksburg, W. Va.; W. A. King, Miss. Jessie King and and Mrs. C. D. Shank, Scottdale; E. E. King, Pennsville; and John G. King, Confluence. One sister, Mrs. Emanuel Firestone, lives at Ursina. Mr. King was a member of the Jersey Baptist church near Ursina. Death was due to acute indigestion.

Reunion of the A. P. and Catherine King family, which formerly lived at Ursina, Somerset county, was held at the Jersey Baptist Church, a few miles north of Confluence, on July 31.
The afternoon was spent in talking and looking over the old cemetery in which are buried soldiers who were in the war of 1812, and each subsequent war.
