Alfred M. Post, Jr. dies in Florida; rites Thursday
Relatives of Alfred M. Post Jr. received word of his death in Pompano Beach, Fla., Monday following several weeks' illness of cardiac asthma.
Mr. Post was born in Columbus, the youngest child of Judge Alfred M. and Ella Munsell Post. After attending the public schools here, he completed his education at Shattuck Military school, Faribault, Minn.
He was an Army veteran of both World War I and II.
For several years he was employed by the Chrysler corporation as sales manager with head-quarters in Kansas City, later being transferred to Portland, Me.
For some time he had been an employee of the Hercules Powder plant in Wilmington, Del., but was forced to retire because of ill health a year ago, moving at that time to Florida.
Mr. Post is survived by his wife, the former Jean Ruell, whom he married in 1936 in St. Joseph, Mo.; and four sisters, Mrs. Georgis Forrester, Miss Alfreda Post and Mrs. Gus Becker of Columbus and Mrs. Martha Hoffman of Kansas City, Mo.
Funeral services and burial will take place in Pampano Beach Thursday.
