"From 1898 to 1906, he was assistant professor of dermatology at Rush Medical College at Chicago, and since 1906 he has been professor of dermatology at the University of Nebraska. He is the author of Diseases of the Skin (1910; 2nd edition 1916) and Fundamentals of Dermatology (1926; 2nd edition 1931). He has been a resident of Nebraska for the past twenty-four years.
Dr. Schalek is a Mason. He belongs to the American Dermatological Association and the American Medical Association. His favorite sport is fishing, and his hobby is amateur photography. He is a charter member of Chicago Dermatological Society; the Mississippi Dermotological Association; Nebraska State Medical Association and Douglas County Medical Association. Residence: Omaha."
