Looks like there was some serious fudging going on with her ancestry. None of the sources cited below can be trusted, not even Burke's.

What crosses everybody up is that there were by this time two well-established branches of the Harcourt family, one in Leicestershire and the other at Stanton Harcourt in Oxfordshire - and they had each started cadet branches.
