She was born Nov. 30, 1910, in Lee Township to J.D. and Dot (Ripley) Baum.

She graduated from Marshall High School in 1929.

She was employed as a cook and bus driver for the Mar Lee school from 1962 until retiring in 1972. She also cooked at the former Shreve's Truck Stop, The Naveo Oil Company Restaurant, Noneman's Truck Stop and Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in Marshall.

She married Lyle D. "L.D." Peck on April 13, 1935, in Olivet. He died Nov. 3, 1985.

Surviving are daughters, Wanda Belcher and Diane Doolittle of Eckford; sons, Michael and David Peck, both of Marshall; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Inez Fetters of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Berniece Piepkow; and brothers, Gaylord, Eugene and Harold Baum.

Community involvement/hobbies: Member of the United Methodist Church, the church's Dorcas Circle, the Fredonia Grange for more than 60 years, the Marshall Senior Citizens, Navy Mothers, American Legion Auxiliary, Albion VFW Auxiliary and the Hewitt Extension. Enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers, sewing, knitting, hook rugs and other crafts, dancing and traveling to Hawaii and Florida. She sold her vegetables at the former Hillabrant Grocery in downton Marshall. She was also a woodworker and a volunteer cook for 4-H kids when they stayed at the B. E. Henry Building.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, where family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Keith Heffner officiating.

Interment: Lyon Lake Cemetery.

Memorials: United Methodist Church of Tendercare Activities Fund.
