Alice Saundford (also spelled Saunford or Sanford), the heiress of Gilbert de Sanford.

Robert de Vere, 6th Earl of Oxford (c. 24 June 1257 – 17 April 1331) was the son and heir of Robert de Vere, 5th Earl of Oxford, by his wife Alice de Sanford.

Alice de Sanford   

Alice was born in 1231 in England.1 Alice's father was Gilbert de Sanford and her mother was Loretta la Zouche. Her paternal grandparents were John de Sanford and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Sherriff of Devonshire Roger la Zouche and Margaret de Beaumont. She had a sister named Joan. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 86 on September 7th, 1317 in England.2

Robert and Alice were married before December 22nd, 1252.1 They had five sons and three daughters, named Robert, Gilbert, Philip, Alfonso, Hugh, Joan, Hawise and Lora.

Alice de Sanford who was the mother of Joan. That is a reliable source.
