THE McDOUGALLS.
He sold in 1861 to the three Mc-
Dougall brothers and went to live with
John Campbell Shannon, at Glen-
reagh. When Mr. Shannon sold out
Mr. Skeen became manager of Leven-
strath for Pearson Bros.
At first Andrew John McDougall,
father of Mr. James B. McDougall, was
at Sherwood. He was then the only
one married. His wife died in 1862.
On the dissolution Andrew McDougall
went to Glenrock, adjoining Bucca-
rumbi, and James Sinclair McDougall
took Sherwood. The homestead was
on portion 37, not very far from the
present Kungala railway station and
although the run went to Panton, Mr.
Clarence McDougall, son of J. .S. Mc-
Dougall, took up the homestead as a
selection in 1890, and was living there
until a few years ago.
Panton has not been identified, but
there was a man named Alexander
George Panton keeping a store in
Grafton as far back as 1860.
