DELHI (Special) — Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Hale, 78, were at 2 p.m. today at thw Walnut Grove Baptist Church near Epps with the Rev. M. Newswagner officiating.
Burial was in the Epps Cemetery.
Mrs. Hale died after a short illness in St. Francis Hospital Monday morning.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. L. Vancleave, Vicksburg, Miss., Mrs. O. A. Stanfield of West Monroe, and Mrs. Wesley Harris of Pioneer; seven sons, Quincy Hale of Brookhaven, Miss., DeWitt Hale, L. W. Hale, Elcie Hale, Eugene Hale, Conley Hale and Billy Hale, all of Pioneer; five sisters, Mrs. Edna Ligenfelter of Tallulah, Mrs. Nora Sandifer of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Ollie McKennie [sic McKinnis] of Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs. Ella Morrow and Mrs. Leda Hines, both of Pioneer; four brothers, Frank McKandlish [sic McCandlish] of Delhi, Wesley McKandlish [sic McCandlish] of Alexandria, Plex McKandlish [sic McCandlish] of Delhi, and Howard McKandlish [sic McCandlish] of Epps; 48 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnny Carter, Jewel White, Levon Morrow, Billy Riley, Francis Corley and Johnny Plunkett.
