About Alma Ruth Boles
born to Clarence Burden and Bonnie M. (Hopper) Burden. She was raised in the Whitewright area and attended school there. By the young age of 13, Alma was married. She worked hard as a homemaker, caring and providing for her 3 sons, Dwayne, Gary and Roger. Alma was an excellent cook and for more than 25 years, she delighted locals at Ruby’s Restaurant in Purcell. On October 31, 1968, Alma married Alvie Lester Boles in Norman, and they made their home in Rosedale. Alma was a gifted quilter and she enjoyed blessing others with her works. She was faithful member of the Rosedale Baptist Church. Alma was a wonderful wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend.
