Alma K. Browning, 94, of Rushville, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Alma K. Browning, 94, of Rushville, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born Aug. 31, 1912 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Thomas and Blanche (Hildreth) Kelso, both deceased. She married Maurice Browning June 4, 1932; he preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Browning was the financial secretary at Main Street Christian Church for nearly 45 years. She was a member of the American Legion #150 Auxiliary and Martha Poe Chapter of OES.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Joan (Mrs. J. Lynn) Addison of Arlington; two brothers, Charles Kelso (and wife Patty) of Carmel and Hubert Kelso (and wife Marie) of Boca Raton, Fla.; four granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Carter Kelso.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastors David Woods and Deann Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South-Central Indiana Hospice or Main Street Christian Church.
