About Alphonse "Marie" Charles Ratisbonne
Alphonse "Marie", Converted to Christianity on 1842 and became a Priest.
Later he joined his elder brother Theodore (See his profile) in management of the congregations. On 1855 he arrived in Jerusalem (The Holy Land) and was responsible for the building of 3 Monasteries for the congregations: 1 - In Via-Dolorosa in the old city. 1- In the village of Ein-Karem [near Jerusalem - Today it belongs to Jerusalem], where he was buried & a Men's Monastery for the 'Brothers of Sion', in the newer part of the city [Today named 'Ratisbonne'].
