Alvin M. White, 60, of Randolph
Services for Alvin M. White, 60, of Randolph, former executive director of Social Studies at Allyn and Bacon Co., Boston, will be held at 11 today at the Levine Chapel, Brookline. He died Saturday.
He was a graduate of Boston Latin School and received his B.A. and masters degrees in education from Boston University.
He served in the Army during World War II, and was one of the founders and members of the Board of Directors of Temple Beth-Am in Randolph. He also served as a Randolph town meeting member.
Surviving are his wife Eileen (Maney) White; a son, David S. of Los Angeles, a daughter, Elaine Laube of Columbia, Md; his mother, Mary White of Brookline; a sister Gladys White of Brookline; and two brothers, Theodore H. of New York City, and Robert M. of Washington D.C.
