Ella's parents moved from Satoraljaujhely to Prag (cf. https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000141161832347). http://adale.org/ujhelyjews.pdf (Facts and memories about the history in the 20th century of the Jewish community in Sátoraljaujhely) states: "On 15th of April they started to establish the ghetto... There were some incidents as Ella Hajos, a clerk, took her own life as she could not face the horrors of the future."
