About Amanda Pinkerton
Obituary of Amanda (Warren) Pinkerton: Lancaster New Era, Sept 5, 1910
"Mrs. Amanda Warren Pinkerton, wife of Assistant Postmaster, George W. Pinkerton, died early Sunday morning at their home, No, 434 Charlotte Street, from a complication of diseases, in her sixty-third year. She was a daughter of the late Archibald Warren of Paradise, where she was born, but Lancaster had been her home nearly all her life. Deceased was a member of the Lancaster Ave. M. E. Church. Besides her husband, three sons survive, Herbert and Lloyd of Lancaster, and Neilson W. of Manheim. She was a sister of a Mrs. Catharine Ihrig, of Kansas; Mrs. Lizzie Frank, of Saginaw, Michigan and James Warren of Lititz. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, interment being made at Greenwood Cemetery." NB: Her birth at Paradise is in question. Believe POB was at Cockysville, MD, or some say Reisterstown, MD. Her mother, Susan or Susanna Krug died at Reistertown in 1850 prior to the census enumeration there.
