Amasa Barton, 73

WHITEHALL – Funeral services for Amasa Barton, 73, of Whitehall, were conducted Thursday in Beaver, Utah, with burial in Greenville Cemetery there.

Mr. Barton died in a Butte hospital Monday following a brief illness.

He was born April 6, 1898 in Beaver and was a rancher all of his life except between 1925 and 1927 when he was in the mining industry in McGill, Nevada.

He had lived on a ranch north of Whitehall since 1962.

He is survived by two brothers, Sherman Barton, Ogden, and Fletcher Barton, Beaver, and a sister, Mrs. Ann Williams of Whitehall.

NOTE: he was single and had never married.
