Influenza Fatal To Amos Arter Beeny

Amos Arter Beeny, 83 years old last September 17, died at 7:15 pm Friday in the home of his daughter, Mrs Scott Clayton, Madisonville. He had been seriously ill of influenza two weeks.

Mr. Beeny, who retired as a farmer twenty-three years ago, had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church forty years.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Annie Beeny; eight children, Jailer G T Beeny, Ellis Beeny, Amos Beeny, all of Madisonville; Patrolman Elmer Beeny, Earlington; John Beeny, Holly Hill, FL; Mrs John Haley, Evansville; Mrs. Clayton; a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Funeral will be conducted at 10 am Sunday in the Madisonville Primitive Baptist church, Elder J D Shain will officiate. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery, near Hanson.
