The Nance Registry - by Pete Nance

We have proven that Amy was NOT the daughter of John and Hannah Hays Williamson. She was a Williams, not Williamson.

I have proof (see photo) that Amy's father was John Williams who died 1772 in Brunswick Co. VA. leaving a will & over 60 pages of probate. It is all filed in Henry County. In the 60 pages of probate, (index #1810_004 Henry County) there are many pages that mention Amy as a daughter and heir of John Williams, along with Amy's husband Reuben Nance. In photo I have underlined John Williams name, and Amy & husband Reuben Nance's names, she is listed as a child and Heir of John Williams.

Also Mentioned in the 60 pgs of probate is William Brown and his wife 'Peggy'/Margaret Williams another daughter of John Williams. William Brown's probable sister Nancy Brown was Reuben Nance's second wife.

Another source "History of Henry Co, Va"/By Judith Hill, pgs 229,230 - (following info taken from Reuben Nance's family bible owned by Dennis Hopkins, Fair Play, Missouri) shows births of all 21 children.
