Fictitious Ancestor of the Borthwick Family
According to the tradition of the Borthwick family, they are descended from a Livonian Knight named Andreas Burtick, who was attached to the Court of Hungary. National Records of Scotland, Papers of the Borthwick Family reference GD1/1404 He is said to have come to Scotland in the company of Edgar the Aetheling and his sister Margaret.
