Born and baptized Andreas Scherer on Aug 12 1851; illegitimate; Godfather was Andreas Schork. Subsequent marginal entry indicates that he was legitimized by his mother's later marriage [#13 for 1851, p111].

The marriage entry for Ignatz and his wife, Margaretha contains a paragraph stating that Margaretha acknowledges that she had a son, Andreas, born on Aug 12 1851. - "Unmittelbar nach der traunng erklaren den eheleute vor dem unterzeichneten pfarrer und den obengenannten zeugen, dass sie das kind, welches die Margaretha Scherer am 12ten August 1851, morgens drei uhr in ledtigem stande dahier geboren, und welches laut taufbuch seite 111 den namen Andreas erhalten hat, als ihr eheliches kind anerkennen."
