Andrew Blair (b. 1689, d. 1796) Andrew Blair (son of James Blair) was born 1689 in Lancaster, Pa, and died 1796 in Washington Co Maryland.He married Elizabeth Davis on 1735 in PA, daughter of Mary.

The Blair family moved to a Welsh settlement in the area near Welsh Run,today in Franklin County , Pennsylvania before 1735. At the time of settlement, this area was claimed by Pennsylvania and Maryland until 1768 when the Mason and Dixon Line settled the dispute over the boundary between the two colonies. In Pennsylvania, it was part of Lancaster County, until 1750 when Cumberland County, was formed. After the American Revolution, it was a part of Franklin County, Pennsylvania.While still apart of Cumberland County, it was in Peters Township., and later Montgomery Township. In Maryland the same area was claimed by Prince George's County until Frederick County, was formed in 1748. The Mason & Dixon Line was settled before any more Counties were established in Maryland.
