“In the name of God amen this 5th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty, I Andrew Kelso of War Minister town ship, Bucks County being of week in body but of perfect sound mind and memory thanks to God therefore calling to minde -the uncertainty of this life and the certainty of Death do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as followith;

First- I recommend my soule into the hands of God my merciful creator and redeemer and my body to the earth from whence it came-Decently for to be buried at the descretion of my Executors here after named who I desire to pay all my just debts and Legacies where of I owe and now touching such worthy goods where with it has pleased the Lord for to bless my endeavors I desire and dispose of the same followith, Viz. I give and bequeath unto my loving wife, Sarah Kelso our bed and fruniture there unto belonging and one cover and 2 small iron pots -it is my will that my Exec’t shall make a pullick (public) sale of all my estate excepting that is here all ready mentioned as soon as theyshall see fit to such person as they see fit to buy and pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and the remainder purch money theyshall devoid in eight equal parts share and share alike one part to my wife Sarah and one equal part to Robert and one part to mydaughter Jane and one part to my daughter Mary and one part to my son John and one part to my daughter Alise and one part to mydaughter Elizabeth and one part to my daughter Margaret Kellso each for to have in equal shares. Its in my will that my sons shall beput out to trades as they like best and last of all I do hereby nominate and appoint my loving wife Sarah Kelso and my loving brotherGeorge Kellso sole executor of this my last will and testament denying all other wills and testaments and this alone and no other . Janeye 7th 1761 a true and just inventory held at the dwelling house of Andrew Kellso late of Bedminister deceased of all the Goodsand Chattels June 9, 1761 letters Testamentary were issued to George Kellso and Sarah Kellso (widow) by the Bucks Co. Pa. Court, asexecutors of estate of Andrew Kellso deceased-

(Written as found no puncuation marks spelling Kelso & Kellso etc.)

Andrew wrote his will on June 5th, 1760 and died January 7, 1761 or a little before. We are depended from the Robert named in the will. Robert’s revolutionary soldier record has been proved for DAR and SAR.

Andrew’s brother, George, who went to Carlisle PA. died there. His family made a history of the family and George said they came from Kelso Scotland.

Andrew Kelso's will was filed in 1760 in Pennsylvania County District and Probate Court. He was failing in health at the time, and died that same year. In his will he stated "I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Sarah Kelso our bed and furniture thereunto belonging . . . one large and two small iron pots". He named Sarah and his brother George Kelso as executors, asking that his estate be sold and the proceeds divided into 8 equal shares, one part to Sarah, and one part each to his children Robert, Jane, Mary, John, Allse (Alice?), Elizabeth, and Margaret. Heritage. Com says he was born in Berwick, Scotland mom was a dalzell and dad another Robert!
