About Andrew Middaugh

In 1850-1851 the United States was hit with both a Yellow Fever and Influenza epidemic. Andrew's family fell victim to Influenza right before the epidemic in 1849 and unfortunately it claimed the lives of his wife Elizabeth (26) and children; Adam (7), Jane (6) and Margaret (4).
----------------------------------------------------------------

Andrew was married two times. The compiler did not discover the name of either spouse. However it is believed he had three children by his first wife and that all of these children died young. According to an e-mail message received from Ms. Nancy Greer, a descendant of Andrew, his second wife, married in 1840, was named Elizabeth HOCHSTETLER. He and Elizabeth had one child, Marian, who survived, married and raised a family of eight children.
