Andrew J. Nash asst. Postmaster and merchant Fullers Point, Ill. was born in Macoupin Co. Il. Feb 23, 1840 son of A.J. and Mary (Misenhimer) Nash, the former a native of Tenn. and latter of N.C. . Mr. Nash received his education in Montgomery Co. Il. and spent his youth upon his father's farm. In 1862 he enlisted in Co. B 117th Ill. Vol. Inf. serving for 3 years. Returning to Montgomery Co. After war he began farming but later went to Texas. Next he worked on a railroad in Ill. then purchased the general store at Fuller's Point and has been engaged in mercantile pursuit at this place ever since. He was appointed asst. Postmaster Feb. 1904. On Mar. 14, 1878 Mr. Nash was united in marriage to Sarah Alvinda Taylor of Cumberland Co. and of this union 4 children have been born. George, a blacksmith, Mary, William, and Oscar. Mr. Nash is a Democrat. He has been town clerk, assessor, Dep. collector, school trustee and director. He belongs to the orders of Knights of Pythias, Masons, and Grand Army of the Republic. Andrew and Sarah had five daughters die in infancy including two sets of twins: -Neely Nash b. Mar. 14, 1882 in Coles Co. IL; d. Jul. 17, 1882 in Coles Co. IL -Minnie Nash b. Mar. 14, 1882 in Coles Co. IL; d. Aug. 6, 1882 in Coles Co. IL -Lula Nash b. Dec. 21, 1884 in Coles Co. IL.; d. 29 Aug 1885 in Coles Co. IL -Clauda Nash b. Apr 22, 1886 in Coles Co. IL; d. Sep. 4, 1886 in Coles Co. IL -Mauda Nash b. Apr 22, 1886 in Coles Co. IL; d. Sep. 26, 1886 in Coles Co. IL
