About Andrew Robinson Stoney Bowes

Will of Andrew Robinson Stoney Bowes, of Kennington Green in the county of Surrey, gentleman, 30 August 1842, signed A. R. R. S. Bowes: bequeaths all to Maria Fox "with whom I have lived and cohabited and am now living," and appoints her as executrix. Joseph Allen of 99 Waterloo Road, Lambeth, and Maria Fox of 2 Kennington Green, appeared before the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 19 October 1842. Joseph Allen swore he had known Andrew Robinson Stoney Bowes for 20 years prior to his decease. Maria Fox swore she had known him for more than 10 years and knew his handwriting, and that he was "in a weak state of bodily health" and the additional "R." in his signature was through inadvertence. The will was proved on 25 October 1842. Source: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/25864448/person/....

Death certificate for July/September 1842 in Lambeth.

Banns for Andrew and Maria were published on 14, 21 and 28 August 1842 at St Peter's Walworth, recorded for St Mary Newington, Southwark. In the circumstances it seems that Andrew died before the marriage could be celebrated.
