Andries Myburgh (1990 - 2022)
Brief overview:
Andries (32), a sheep farmer from Koffiefontein in the Free State, was found murdered next to the road near his farm on the morning of Tuesday 25th January.
According to const. Masilela Langa, police spokesperson, a passer-by found Andries' body around 08:00 along the R48 between Koffiefontein and Petrusburg.
Andries's wife Lize said he went to the field to check on the sheep, and he never came back.
A forensic autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
On 12th October 2020, Andries had survived a previous attack where two males stabbed him, poured petrol over him, and burned down two of his stores. According to constable Langa, this case has been closed due to no evidence found.
