APPLE CREEK — Andy J. Troyer, 43, of Apple Creek, formerly of Orrville, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Andrew was born on Nov. 12, 1974, in Melbourne, Fla., to Eli J. and Belle (Mize) Troyer Sr. and graduated from Orrville High School in 1993. He worked as an auto mechanic for RNS Auto Service in Orrville for 22 years, retiring in 2016 due to disability.
Andrew served the Boy Scouts (Pack 69 in Apple Creek) as a committee chairman. He enjoyed fishing, camping and going to the races. He also loved playing in competitive dart leagues and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving are his parents, Belle and Eli J. Troyer Sr. of Apple Creek; two daughters, Marcie and Madelon Snyder of Apple Creek; and seven siblings, Lisa King of Smithville, Eli J. (Rhonda) Troyer Jr. of Orrville, Daniell (Tim) Graham of Creston, Jessica Troyer of Wooster, Donnie Troyer of Marshallville, Marquel Troyer of Apple Creek and Samantha “Sam” Troyer of Apple Creek.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Pastor Eli D. Troyer officiating. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home, from 4-7 p.m.
