Jaume Bachs i Rosés was a Catalan tenor who sang at the Liceu Opera and the best European and American operas using the stage name Angelo Angioletti or Angiolo Angioletti (or Angelotti).
Born into a middle-class family in Barcelona, Jaume Bachs Rosés was able to receive music lessons and develop his singing skills, for which he already showed great talent since childhood. He debuted as a baritone, and was also later able to sing bass roles. His international career began with tenor roles, and the first was in Wagner's Valkyrie at the Teatro Real Madrid and at the Liceu in Barcelona in 1900. His repertoire contained among others the operas Un ballo in maschera, Otello, The Huguenots and Carmen. Angelo Angioletti was recognized as an excellent singer all over the world. He created many new opera roles. His voice was described as beautiful, sonorous, very powerful and vibrant. Jaume Bachs was also a composer. He wrote several pieces for tenor and an opera, Aurèlia (1907).
