About Anita Grace Grubbs
Obituary:
Anita Grace Grubbs (Nelson), 73, lovingly known by all as Grandma Lilah, was born to Chester and Ruvella Nelson of Newkirk, OK on Feb 25, 1933 and passed away Dec 7, 2006.
She graduated from Newkirk High School and married Danny B. Gaston also of Newkirk (deceased) and later in life married Joe E. Grubbs of OKC.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and another brother Warren who passed away during his childhood years.
Anita was self-employed as a hairdresser for most of her working career. She was a charter member of the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry where she loved to spend her Saturday nights. She was a masterful doll maker and seamstress, bringing joy to her friends through her talent. Anita was a member of the Calvary Bible Fellowship Church where she loved worshiping her Lord.
Service: Monday, 11 Dec 2006, at the Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 6606 N.W. 16th, OKC with a graveside service at the Newkirk Cemetery.
