Disputed Origins
From https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/161707096/samuel-allen
”On an unknown date and place probably in England, Samuel m. 1) a wife purportedly named Ann Whitmore; however, both her first and purported maiden name are unproved. She is claimed to have died in Braintree Sept. 29, 1641, but no record can be found confirming that date as fact.”
Do not confuse with [Anne Farrar
This note is not correct:
From http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=22898201
Anne (Whitmore) Allen was the daughter of John Whitmore and Joanna Jessup. She married Samuel Allen in Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts in 1630.
She was not the same as Ann Catherine Allen
Evidence needed to support as daughter of Thomas Whitmore & Mary Whitmore
