About Ann (Booth) Malone

Biography

According to her Find A Grave memorial (a non-cemetery burial), Ann Booth, the daughter of George Booth and Mary Malone was born in 1720 and died after 1799. But Ann's memorial further states that Lucy Malone, the first child of Ann Booth and William Malone, was born in 1726, making Ann's 1720 birth year unlikely. William was said to be born about 1703, so a birth year for Ann of 1705 appears to be a better estimate.

William MALONE, son of Nathaniel Malone and Mary Wynne, married Ann BOOTH, daughter of George Booth and Mary (Malone?), in 1737 in Brunswick Co., VA (source: Randolph Malone's Malones and Allied Families) Submitter: Carol Middleton http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cmddlton/bthmrs1.html

George Booth I (1679-1763) m Mary ______ , who died in 1752. Known children (perhaps there were others) include: 1. Mary Booth m John Parham. Children listed in preceding will. 2. Ann Booth m_________ (likely "John") Malone. See preceding will. 3. Thomas Booth m Ann ______. Died in 1751. See his will (before.) Couldn't have been the one in Amelia. 4. George Booth II. It is not known whom he married, but Dr. Madison thinks it may have been Lucy Gilliam of the Prince George family. The Surry-Sussex Gilliams do not show it. The Prince George records are lost. But it is known that the Gilliams were prominent in that county. One of the sons of this union, Thomas Booth (named, perhaps, after the brother who died in 1751), named his daughter Lucy Gilliam. She is mentioned in Reubin's will in 1775. http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/BOOTH/1997-09/0873439184
