Ben M. Angel notes: I am fairly certain that this individual is not related to either James or William Brown. There is no Ann that married Robert S. MacKay that is listed in the Browns of Nottingham or other sources. There is an Ann that married a Robert Dutton, but fitting this marriage into Ann McKay's timeline seems problematic. Also Robert, MacKay seems to be an individual that would have been touted by the Brown family had he married into it, and there is no mention of the marriage in their records.
