Ann E. Harlow, 80, passed from this world early on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Ann was born July 8, 1930 in Gallitzin, PA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lane Rosensteel, and parents, George and Helen Rosensteel.

Ann graduated from Gallitzin High School in 1947. She attended two years at St. Aloysius, majoring in music. Ann was quite the pianist in her day and has always enjoyed piano music.

Ann married Joseph L. Harlow on November 27, 1954 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Gallitzin, PA. They had four children, Joann Harlow of South Bend, Bryan Harlow of South Bend, David (Cindy) Harlow of Sacramento, CA and Timothy (Nancy) Harlow of South Bend. She also has six grandchildren, Autumn, Chelsea, Christopher, Kaitlyn Rose, Brandon and Tyler. Ann enjoyed her times with all of them.

Ann worked for St. Joseph Bank and Trust and retired in 1986 from the McKinley Branch in the position of Assistant Vice President.

Ann enjoyed reading and playing cards. She was a Notre Dame fan and always had a bet with her son, Bryan, who resides in a Logan group home. It never failed to amaze the family how Bryan won every single bet with his mom!

Ann was (and is!) an avid supporter of Special Olympics, and her family would appreciate donations to the St. Joseph County Special Olympics, 106 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN 46544.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. Private burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be said at 3:00 pm.
