About Ann LeJau

Daniel Huger was married by license with Mrs. Ann Le Jau, daughter of Col. Francis Le Jau, Esq and of Mary his wife, daughter of Mr. John Ashby, Decembereased[?] in October 19th, 1749.

June 19th 1751 at eleven o'clock in the evening my wife Ann was delivered of a son who was ba ptised by the Rev. Mr. Alexander Garden Jr, rector of St. Thomas's Parish and was named Franc is and his godfathers were his grandfather Francis Le Jau Esq. and his Uncle Francis Le Jau and his Aunt Mary Le Jau.

August 22nd 1752 at six o'clock in the morning my wife was delivered of her second son and wa s baptised by the Rev. Mr. Levi Durand the 29th November 1752. He is name Paul. His godfathers are Samuel Thomas Esq, and Mr. Thomas Ashby with Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas godmother.

August 23rd 1754 at half an hour after nine, my wife Ann Huger was delivered of two daughters, one of them died about twelve hours after her birth, the other was baptised the 25th inst . and was named Margaret. Her godfather was Mr. Robert Quash, and her godmothers were Mrs. Mary Le Jau her aunt and Mrs. Quash, wife of Robert.

December 6th, 1754, Mrs. Ann Huger departed this life and on the eighth of December 1754, Daniel Huger Esq died."
