"History of Christmas Island Parish" - page #118:

Donald McNeil “Og" and his Descendants at Big Beach
This man and his wife, Jessie, lived in Barra. They had a family of five sons, John, Donald, Rory, Neil, and Alex. The sons came to Pictou in 1802. Donald, Rory, Neil, and Alex went to PEI and settled there.

John worked at the Gulf and in Miramichi before he settled at Big Beach. He married Catherine, daughter of Donald McNeil (Murdock). Issue: — Donald, Alex, Catherine, James, Jessie, Rory, Stephen, Neil, Sarah, and Ann.

All the sons of this John McNeil were big, powerful men. “Donald Mor” was perhaps the strongest of them, but it is said that James was the best scrapper. There is a boulder, which “Donald Mor” lifted off the ground, to be seen alongside the highway at John M. McNeil’s place, Big Beach; and a look at that boulder will tell any one what giants some of the pioneer settlers and their descendants were.

 Rory (Big) married Ann, daughter of Rory McDougall, (Miller). No issue.
