7/26/1727, Ann Avery called herself the only child of Thomas Avery, deceased. Samuel Griffing died before Jan. 27, 1737, at which time his widow, Ann, administered his estate (Stonington Probate Records). She m. 2nd, Oct 6, 1737, at Stonington, Sylvanus Miner, s. of Thomas and Hannah (Avery) Minor and her own cousin. They lived in Voluntown in 1754.
