"The Norris Family" is an amazing work in Genealogy, 1500 pages in four volumes. Only three copies were produced, and one is located in the Rare Books Section of the Library of Congress. Another is to be in the Kansas DAR Library at dodge city, Ks.

"b. posthumous. He followed his brother, John & was a mariner sailing out of Baltimore & later out of Charleston, S.C. Ann b. not known if S.C. or Md. They settled in Baltimore, Md. Traditional records from three branches of his children, entirely unknown to each other at present, state that Joseph was lost at sea about 1758/9. We have discovered no record indicating he ever owned any land. Said to have been thirteen children. Known children: Joseph, Elizabeth, Mary, Ann, Robert, William, Edward, John, Thomas & James."

"Corine has William b. c.. 1760 will made Nov. 5, 1832 Baltimore co., Md. s/o Edward and (Mary (Wyle) Norris s/o Joseph and Mary (Talbot) Norris,, (Talbeot per Davis Ms. and son of JOhn and ELizabeth (Parsons) Norris s.o Edward and Mary (Freeman) Norris." This liineage given in this file is as per Davis transcriipt and has been rechecked.
