Ann Lydia Oxley

Marriage announced in "The Maitland Mercury and Hunter River General Advertiser" of Wednesday 28 May 1851:

"Marriage. On the 26th May, at St. James's, Morpeth, by the Rev. J. Rodwell, John Norton Oxley, Esq., of Kirkham, J.P., to Ann Lydia, the fourth daughter of J. L. Platt, Esq., R.N."

and her Death Notice in "The Sydney Morning Herald" of Monday 13 September 1852:

"At Morpeth, on the 9th September, Ann Lydia, the wife of John Norton Oxley, Esq., of Kirkham."

However, her tomb is clearly labelled with a death date of 4 September 1852.
