About Ann Perry Tandy Henderson
Ann Perry Tandy was the daughter of Jackson Tandy and Sarah Scott Snelling. She was born on December 25, 1821, in Lafayette County, Kentucky. She and husband Henry and sons William and Viator, appear on the 1850 census for Utah. After that, they leave the train, settling briefly in northern Nevada, before heading to California. By 1851, they are in the Santa Clara Valley, living briefly in Alviso, Mountain View and Fremont.
By 1870, the family is in Paradise Valley, Siskiyou County, California, where they are leasing a farm. Later, they moved north to Lane County, Oregon, and live next door to Ann's brothers William and Robert. Henry has given up farming and has become a minister.
