The death of Mrs. Geo. Watson, at the advanced age 74 years, occurred at the homestead, Numba, early on Tuesday morning last. Deceased had been in good health up to some few months ago when she had a serious illness but it was thought she had recovered. However on Monday night became suddenly ill and passed away some few hours afterwards.

The late Mrs. Watson might be classed as one of the pioneers of the district having resided with her husband at Kangaroo Valley for over 30 years prior to them going to live at Numba.

Besides her bereaved husband she leaves a large grown-up family members of whom are
Messrs James and Thomas Watson of Kangaroo Valley, Fred, of the Government printing Office of Sydney, George and Ted (Norther Rivers), Christy and Herb, (Numba), and Mrs P. Lestrange (Kangaroo Valley), Mrs. T. Kavanagh (Nowra), Mrs. Warland (Sydney), Mrs. T Price and Mrs. Sinclair (North Coast) and Mrs J. Nelson (Kangaroo Valley).

The funeral took place on Wednesday and was largely attended, her mortal remains being laid to rest in the Presbyterian portion of the Nowra public cemetery.
