In 1671 when Elizabeth “Ann” was 17, she first married John WILLIAMS5,3, son of Roger WILLIAMS (~1626-1675) & (~1629->1671), in Isle of Wight Co. VA. Born in 1651 in Northumberland, VA. John died in Isle of Wight Co. VA died after Feb 1686 in Isle of Wight, VA.
His will was dated 2/7/1686 and probated 5/1687. "His legatees were: sons John and Thomas, daughter Elizabeth, Ann, Sarah. Witnesses were Will Bradshaw and Charles Durham, who would later marry Elizabeth Ann (Whitley) Williams (the widow of John Williams).
10/1693 Son, John Jr, petitioned the court saying he was of age and desired to manage his possessions currently being handled by his father-in-law, Charles Durham and his mother, Ann Durham.
John and Elizabeth Ann had the following children:

Elizabeth Whitley, daughter of John and Ann Whitley, married in 1671 in Isle of Wight county, Virginia to John Williams (this is proved by the will of her father John Whitley.) [Source: Research by Joel Watson.
There were so many John Williams living in the county at this time that it has resulted in much confusion. The John Williams living at the time of the death of John Whitley, Sr. who died 1670, with a daughter Ann was the John Williams who made his will on February 07, 1686 (probated May 1687), His legatees were: sons John and Thomas, daughters Elizabeth, Ann, Sarah, to whom he left personality. To Charles Durham, a heifer, wits: will Bradshaw, Charles Durham, Anne Williams, relict of John Williams, qualified as executor on may 02, 1687. John Williams, Jr. Son of John and Anne Williams petitions the court in October of 1693 that he is of age and desires possession of his in the possession of his father-in-law Charles Durham and his mother Ann Durham (order book 1683-95, page 6). There are multiple men named John Williams in Isle of Wight County in the mid-late 1600's. John Boddie describes John Williams, deceased by 1686/87 as the husband of Ann Whitely with children John, Thomas, Elizabeth, Ann and Sarah (see p 211);
also describes 2nd John Williams, deceased 1691/92, also wife named Anne and children John, William, Thomas, Nicholas, Richard, Theopolis, Mary and Jane.
