Ann Pollard's parents, according to "A View of Devonshire in 1700...," were John Pollard, Esquire, and his wife Eleanor (Copleston) Pollard. Both were about 25 to 27 years old when Ann was born. Some genealogies mistakenly assert that Ann's parents were John Pollard and Emma Dodiscombe but they were her great-grandparents (via their son: Walter Pollard, Esq., m. Elizabeth Cornu, and their son John Pollard, Esq., who married Eleanor Copleston).

Ann had 2 brothers: Walter Pollard (who married Joan Barnes of Barnshill, Devonshire), Esq., and Robert Pollard, Esquire.[1]

Just before 1425, Ann Pollard married John Wood, Esquire, of North Tawton, Devonshire. He was the son of Sir John Wood & Lady Margery (Huish) Wood. Ann and John Wood lived in Warwickshire and had 3 children:

1. John Wood, b: ca. 1425, m. Thomasine Crase
2. Thomas Wood, b: ca. 1430, m. Lady Joyce Wood - d: 1456 in Wybunbury, Cheshire
3. Elizabeth Wood, b: ca. 1435, m. Benedict Lee

It is not known exactly when Ann (Pollard) Wood died or her husband, John Wood, but it is assumed it was ca. 1460. A Geni.com genealogy states that they died in Devonshire or in Westmoreland, England. [2]
