I speculate, and wonder if I can get some responses, that Elinor's first husband might have been a Goodwin (perhaps even a Richard Goodwin) by whom she had a son named Richard. Then Richard Window's will makes sense, as he first mentions his daughter Ann, then Richard, who had been raised by him as a son, and then the two Bennett children. As further support, the list of Richard Goodwin's children by Hannah Jones includes a daughter named Elinor (perhaps to honor his deceased mother?). I have not found immigration records to support the arrival of any of these folks from England to America. I welcome any thoughts fellow Goodwin researchers might wish to share.
