"May" was the daughter of Samuel Sprinkle & Mary Jane Cox.

She married John Marcus Avey about 1889. The 1910 census indicates that both John and May were previously married. Indeed, John married Josephine Malott, 5 Oct 1876, Clermont Co., OH. I have not found an earlier marriage for May, but it's certainly possible.

May & John's family included: Joseph Milton; Lottie M. (Keller); Martha H. (Limerick, Mueller); Eunice Luella (Rains); Genevieve Beatrice (Dempsey); Harriet Eugenie (Dorsey); & John Russell.
