This source is from family tradition and records:
Anna Eschelman was known as Anna Snowberger in some periodicals, books, genealogy records, etc. She lived with the Snowbergers. Her sister, Elizabeth, married Theodore Snowberger. However, I do not know if she lived with them.
William C. Miller of East Berlin, PA found in the card catalog of the Mennonite History Center in Lancaster, PA, the birth record of Anna on 17 May 1769. It lists her parents as Isaac Eshelman (1745-1807) and Christina Stauffer (1748-1814).
Her marriage record to John Becker is found in the Library of the Lancaster Historical Society, call 929, E75 Eshelman, Fayette C. It states that she married John Baker (Becker) on 15 June 1788. Even in Montgomery Co.. OH, Anna spoke German and had her will in German.
The sources for Anna in Pennsylvania are from the following:
(1) Card catalog at the Mennonite History Center in Lancaster, PA;
(2) From the library of the Lancaster Historical Society call 929 E75 Eshelman, Fayette C. Also there are over 50 volumes of notes on the descendents of Heinrich Eshelman.
