"In the year 1832 my mother-in-law, worthy of all respect, departed from this life in her 74th year. She had been a beauty in her younger days and she still retained her good and youthful looks until she died. She was the daughter of Dean Darin in Hammarlöv and as such had received a genuine domestic education. With a christian mind and a pious disposition she devoted all her time lavishing her care and attention on her family members and on the tending of the house; and so her three daughters took after this dignified pattern and became, as she, simple and without vanity, and lovingly and ardently devoted to their husbands and they, in their turn, became worthy of imitation by their daughters. The old lady outlived her husband by 16 years, lived in her own house, tidy and well equipped, in the neighborhood of Brandstad's vicarage. She had the pleasure of her children and grandchildren, who loved her tenderly - - - and missed her." Source: Magnus Rosenquist's memoirs.
