Anna Catharina Lindgren

Anna Catharina Lindren died in 1817 ca, she was 'married" to the caretaker Anders Lindgren. Her daughter Amalia born May 22, 1814 in Stockholm the wealthy widow of her alleged biological father, became her custodian. Amalia's position as a child was somewhat humiliating, as a form of charity object for the upper classes, and in her later work, her paintings of sad little girls are believed to be inspired by her childhood.
