Anna L. (Crawford) Harbke of Nezperce dead
2-19-1952
Nezperce – Mrs. A.F. Harbke, 80, died at 4:45 Friday afternoon at her farm home 9 miles northwest of Nezperce. Death was attributed to the infirmities of age. She became ill June 20 and was in a hospital for 12 days before returning to her home.
Mrs. Harbeke was born at Woodburn, or July 9, 1872 and was married to A F Harbke at Dayton was Nov 25, 1891. The couple moved to Juliaetta, and in 1895, when the Nezperce Indian reservation here was opened to settlers, they homesteaded at their present location.
A son, William Harbke, died in 1936 at Peace River, Alberta, Canada.
Survivors include her husband at the family home; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Bogner and Mrs. Martin Thompson, both of Nezperce, Mrs. Henry Braun, Clarkston and Mrs. Olive carter, Kaumakani, Kauai, Hawaiian Islands; a daughter in law Mrs. William Harbke, Seattle; a sister, Mrs. Elva weeks, Toppenish, WA, three brothers, Joe and John Crawford Orofino, and Will
Crawford Peck; 1 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Nezperce Lutheran church with the rev. Richard Wang, officiating.
Burial will be in the Nezperce cemetery.
