“Stroke Proves Fatal to Anna Marie Hallberg”
“Mrs. Anna Marie Hallberg, age 53 years, wife of Peter M. Hallberg, died Saturday afternoon at 4:15 o’clock at her home near Boone Grove, following the effect of a stroke suffered early Saturday morning. Previous to the attack, she had been in fairly good health.
The decedent was born in Saxony, German on August 9, 1880 and came to the U.S. in 1902, making her home in Blue Island, Illinois.
On February 10, 1906 she was united in marriage to Peter M. Hallberg. They resided in Chicago 2 years, then moved to a farm in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. In 1913, they came to Porter County where they have since resided.
Surviving besides the husband, Peter M. Hallberg, are 4 daughters: Mrs Louise Steinhilber of Hebron; Alyce, Hazel and Gladys at home, and 2 sons, Charles & Karl at home, and one grandson. One daughter, Stella, died in 1917. Besides these, she leaves many relatives and friends.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.”
