About Anna Löwenbein

Imprisoned at Nováky Labour Camp, which was liberated in August 1944 during the Slovak National Uprising. Her father Dr., Ing. Rudolf Lowenbein, her mother Gertrude, and Anna were imprisoned in Banská Bystrica on November 15, 1944. They were then escorted from the prison on November 20, 1944 and on that day they were executed in the forest near the village of Kremnička. The bodies were exhumed on April 1945 and identified. Rudolf had a ID, his wife Gertrude and Anna were identified by Rudolf's younger brother Emil Lowenbein.
